Hello,

Just thought I would post a Hosting Template..

Bidding starts at $135.13 (I like odd numbers) for full page design and construction, including the branding and conversion from previous pages to new ones (up to 30 pages). Also, bidding ends Friday, Oct 19 2k1 [11:00PM PST].

Please email me at dmation2001@yahoo.com to bid, or if you have questions. I can only accept paypal, although paypal accepts Visa and MasterCard ;)

BTW the header (and menu) was a quickie, and when I customize it for your site, you can choose what goes there and how its designed..also, you dont have to make the form login to cpanel, thats just a sample

dmation, my partner have bought this template from you and paid the whole money upfront. You promised this template to be done by Sat/Sun . Email contacts have been made, yet you do not seem to be that responding. I just want to know how things go. Please email me/my partner asap.

cheers,

Hi I am dektong's partner. I paid Justin (this person also goes as Justin) 100% upfront because he said he needed the money. He promised to finish the site within two to three days. He never completed his job beyond some PSD that we were not happy with.

After two weeks, I gave him an ultimatum to finish the site and I gave him another two days to do it. He promised that he will finish it or else he will refund my money.

Another four days passed, I sent him an email requesting him to cancel the job and refund me.

That was the last I heard of him.

This person claimed to work for modernbill.

He also claimed this to be his work / site:
http://work328.x5media.com

I just checked that url again, and it's gone.

He might also have something to do with http://www.x5media.com/ but I am not sure of that.

My advice, be careful when dealing with people in here, never pay upfront like I did. I trusted him and wanted to help but he returned me in this way.

I am disappointed. Any advice on how I can get my money back? I paid using paypal.

This really gets me! People like that give all of us a bad name. I am now working with a woman who recently got scammed like this. I'm doing the job cheap b/c the guy has already made off with close to a grand of her money that she probably will never see again.

I had to go out of my way to gain this woman's trust because this #$*%& made her VERY cautious (understandably so). It's not a problem, she trusts me now and knows I'm not going to scam her, but when people like that take advantage it effects all of us.

This gives both freelancers and design companies a bad name, so I don't like to see this happening. If you paid via Credit Card (through PayPal) then contact your credit card company about a chargeback. Otherwise, you'll need to contact Paypal about what's happened. They will treat this very seriously.

Joanna: To my knowledge I am the only one who bought this template.

I have contacted x5media and they was surprised and not happy about this either. They said that Justin hasn't been in for 5 days, so perhaps he's having some kind of trouble, I am not sure. I hope he's OK.

x5media said they will refund our money even if they don't know about "this ordeal". I am not sure if it's fair to bring them in?

As for anything in writing, no I did not have anything in writing.

I had someone else from here designed a site with no problem, tpl / html was delivered as promised within the schedule, that was what encouraged me at first.

It's good to hear that you will get your money back..
but it would have been nice if that guy kept his word and delivered what was promised instead of all this ordeal..

Just be carefull next time.;)

Thanks Joanna,
I am not yet sure that I will get my money back. Yes I will be very careful next time and no more 100% upfront.

This guy has been almost 3 weeks behind schedule.

After this ordeal I have decided to just design the site myself. I know it's not going to be super flashy but it fits my taste.

muppie -

I have recently learned of this very bad ordeal
between you and Justin. I appologize greatly for this,
and I will be talking to him very soon to get you your
refund. We never knew/authorized this, but as his
employer, we are obligated to refund you in full if he
cannot/will not. We have learned of another problem
somewhat like this, and we are looking towards
employment termination and possibly criminal charges
for fraud. On a side note, if the previous was not
bad enough, his name is - in fact - not Justin Hersh (as you may have noticed from emails we found on his workstation). He
used JH's email account, when in fact you can reach
him (your Justin, not JH) at justin.r@x5media.com - my point being fraud,
because his last name is not Hersh, but rather starts
with an R (I will not post it because I still want to
protect his privacy - he's 13), and he is putting a bad name on JH.

Once again, please bare with me. If you can, send me
all transcripts (IM, email, phone, etc) of you and
Justin.

Sincerely,

Brian Kramer

Brian,

Thanks for clarifying this. I really appreciate it. I have forwarded to you all my correspondence, including IM transcripts with him. Note he used two Yahoo identities.

I should've suspected something funny when he said "Either you or I was invisible, and I am not".... when the fact is I don't see him online much past the point after we paid him, and never got online about 3 days after.

Pity how such a young boy already started doing fraud.

Criminal charges for fraud, termination?

*sigh*

Not only has he deteriorated the reputation of a soon-to-go-public company, but he has also used someone else's name. For example, someone can take you to court for something you know nothing about, getting someone in trouble for your own actions..

Criminal Charges may be brought upon as this is the last straw - $140 added on to ~$600 we spent/wasted on him earlier, as well as possible loss of sales if we open up and are already an outcast for his actions.

Termination of all contracts and employment. (not life)

x5media - you have shown yourself to be a lot better than that guy, so I don't think his actions have tarnished your new company.
It is just an unfortunate thing that happened - but you are working with those involved to resolve it.
So a thumbs up for you.

Also, you might like to consider not hiring people as young as that again ;)

After all this time, nothing has been heard from either justin hersh (or whatever his name is) and x5media.

x5media promised to repay my money but after a while my email got ignored.

I met justin on Yahoo one day and asked him about what happened to the design if he still wants to finish it... He said "what?" then went offline (I guess he won't be using that yahoo id anymore or simply ignore me)

Well just too bad.... I guess I learned a lesson there never to pay upfront.... NO MATTER what the guy said....
At the time justin said he needed money so I thought I'd give him what he wants and I trusted him :(

I've had good experiences with people over the Internet and I have to say this is probably the first bad experience with people spiffing me..

Just my gripes...
