I've read alot of posts about HostRocket on these boards, and from what I can infer, alot of people have had absolutly horrible experiences, while others have had the most fantastic time with them. Anyway, I really like Site5.Com too. Sooo...after debating for a while...I decided that I really prefer Site5 to HostRocket because of its allowance of 5 Domain Pointers over HostRockets 1-2 (depending on the plan).
Has anyone had any past experiences with Site5? Or just know some reallllly bad/good stuff about them. I'd love to know.
Thanks!

I am with Site5.com for about 2 months now and really like their service. There were some minor problems during the transmission from my old host to Site5 but everything was straightened out fairly quick! Uptime is very high, service is quick and the support folks seem to know what they are doing! You can get more domain pointers for a small, reasonable fee. Their control panel ist straight forward and very easy to use!
I've been with Hostrocket earlier this year and were very disappointed - they even charged my credit card months after I had left them and did not do anything at all to correct their mistake! I would just stay away from this host to avoid trouble. They do have a bad business attitude and blame things too often onto their customers (happened to me to) and in my eyes they are very unprofessional.
Between the 2 hosts to choose - Site5.com should be your first and only choice!

I have been with Site5 for about 5 months now and they are a #9, out of scale of 1 to 10.

Site5 have their servers in the NAC.net data center/NOC, which is very fast. We host all our sites on a Site5 server, and there has not been any downtime yet. I'd definitively recommend them.

Don't know about Hostrocket.com, but I have been with Site5 for more than 2 months and left them. I didn't mind that my support tickets were usually answered after 2 or 3 days (sometimes longer), but I did mind that critical (but not unfriendly) posts were frequently deleted from their support boards. My site was shut down twice for more than 48 hours without prior notice or any detailed explanation, due to "excessive use of system resources". I was never told what exactly has caused my excessive consumption. Their features are great, but there seems to be a communication problem.

I've been with Site5 since June and for the most part I am satisfied with their service. I did notice some problems, though, back in August/September with one of their servers. The one I happen to be located on. The uptime for that specific server would be no more than two-four days running between each reboot for a long time. They have since resolved the problems and since, everything has been working fine. Their support is normally really fast but I have started to realize that even if you have the #1 support, they would be better if you never have to contact them at all. I signed up for a year contract so by next June, I may be elsewhere. It all depends on how many issues they have and how often I need to contact them about server problems. Regardless of how fast they fix them.
