I've noticed that for the past hour VO is completely down and so are all their hosted sites. Anyone else feeling this or know what is going on?

It's work fine to me, maybe a bit slow.
Also my server with VO work smooth :)

At the moment I cannot access most US-hosted web sites from Europe. What's going on?

I can access VO fine from my side...

Half of my email accounts aren't working either from my site there...

The London Internet Exchange is dead - DoS attack


The London Internet Ecchange (LINX) is having major problems at themoment. This is currently affecting ALL ISP's who peer at LINX. We have been forced us to shutdown our Primary peering connection and todrastically cut down the number of peering sessions we have on our Backup router. LINX is currently working on the problem and it has the highest priority.

Until the problems are resolved most of our Internet traffic will flow
via one of our other gateways or via transit.

We have taken the step of shutting down our Primary LINX router as the
problems at LINX itself was causing instability, affecting all routing

But I'm not in Europe. I'm in California. Still can't connect.

Do a trace and see where the connection brakes down..

Myserver shows no downtime. Checked MRTG and bandwidth looks normal with no drops.

I had a short period where I thought my site was down with vo earlier today but I suspected that was something to do with access from the uk, dunno what made me think that specifically, but that would tie in with attacks on linx mabye.

No problems here. :confused:

I am at another companies' offices now, in PA and I can get to VO fine..

Looks like they are down as I speak! :/

I just tried it again and I can Access VO site fine.. No problems..

None of my sites are accesible either. I have a outside monitor that keeps track for me and they just emailed me to let me know the server is down.

Any one else having problems?

I have just moved over to VO, hmm...maybe two weeks ago. Did so based on the high marks I saw posted here.

Because the move is so recent, there was a bit of panic on my part hoping that I hadnt made a mistake.

It looks like all will be way excellent tho.
