From where can i get cheap ISDN connections in UK, does any one offer a better price than BT.
I am looking at a E1 connections, it's cool if i can get internet from the same company as well.
I need the same thing for USA.
ISDN is old now get with the times ;)
ADSL is much cheaper in the UK and i've seen some providers offer a 512k line starting from £15.99 ranging all the way to £40 (all depending on the users sharing a line ratio)
You can also get upto a 2Mbps line at the budget end around £80 per month.
www.eclipse.net.uk is my recommendation :)

Would love to if BT would enable exchanges quicker ;)
I currently use NDO (www.ndo.co.uk) for my ISDN connection, but am upgrading to 2mbit broadband at the end of March. I would recommend NDO, used them for about 8 months and have only had a few issues. They also have a 24/7 telephone support line which i have used a few times and found helpful :)
Hope this helps.
Warm Regards,
Ben

I had ISDN for 2 years, it was by far the most reliable internet for a consumer end service I have ever used, more more stable than Cable, DSL, or Fixed Wireless. I would recommend ISDN for those that need rock solid, or for those that can't get anything else.
However, I paid 3x the amount of any of the other high speed services I mentioned for ISDN.

ISDN is much more expensive than the other technologies because it is much more expensive on the provider side.
I have an ISDN line here in dallas, and I pay $80 a month for the loop, plus $99 for the service. But, like amd_duron said, it is THE most reliable consumer service I have ever seen.
It's worth paying for if you need it for something that has to always be up (like I do), but it is not priced right for a basic net connection IMO.

Seems like lots of you are confusing what they are asking for, they don't just want BRI (Your run of the mill business-highway etc.) they are after PRI, which is a different ball-game.

My father has 128k ISDN for £32 a month. BT Home Highway with two seperate 64k accounts utilising the two lines. Since he wont be able to get broadband in his area for sometime, he is awaiting 256k ISDN to become available....
I could not go less then my 2mbit SDSL now, im so used to the speed, when i go to my fathers its a culture shock, but some people have to realise that DSL and cable are not available everywhere, so people who are saying "get with the times" need to get with the times themselves hehe..... ;)
