Hi ya

Cost of flights has really gone up with the current events and I am trying to get to see my fiance in Canada this Xmas.

Any nice, loving, symapthetic host wanna pay for my ticket in exchange for me wearing a t-shirt advertising their company? :D

No more pointless clicking to gain hits - I am a big guy so your company's logo/address will easily be seen :D

Cost of flight from UK to Toronto = £450 - £600.

So then, any one? :)

If you promise to dress up like a elf with our logo on it, and dance around in the airports wearing those shoes with little bells on it i might consider. If interested please let me know.

Canada rules in the winter!:D [/B]

That may indeed be true ... When I was in college, I had a Canadian friend ... It was during winter, but he had his dorm window open and even had a blowing fan in the window  I am not talking about winter in Texas but in Michigan!

That's a true canadian polar bear!

cheers,

Too funny...

If that's the case... anyone want to sponsor my trip to Brazil in March/April... :D I'm going to be going down there with my son to visit a member of one of the boards I run... She promised if I come down there she'd have my back fixed (bad back -- torn ligament above my waist. - don't have any insurance to fix it).

I'll take pictures.. I'll even put my son in a t-shirt as well... LOL

hehe

heehee ;)

My fiance is Canadian - I am British :)
Met her 4 years ago this thursday - and have been 'together' ever since flying back and forth :)

I was in Montreal a few New Year Eve's ago when they had that big freeze.

For a Brit who rarely sees snow or severe cold temps, it was shocking.
-25 with a windchill of -37... waiting to catch a taxi at 1:30am on New Years day after the celebrations... I was frozen.

But I love Canada - even dug out some poor Chinese delivery driver out of a snow embankment :)

Hmm, I thought the ticket prices went down so they could attract people, not up!

Btw, we don't want recorded proof (easy to fake). We want it to be broadcast LIVE on the net :)

Just a thought, not sure if they fly international or not... but try Canada 3000..... they may have better prices..

Spending the money will be worth it. once you get to Canada you will have more money because of the exchange rate. just think of how many more presents you could buy your fiancee!

If you really want to save, you could swim the atlantic, or hop in a big trunk and air mail yourself to Toronto.

Free give-aways eh?

Now Damon was giving away t-shirts with the paypal logo on them which was all nice and everything, but I was wondering who the *real* hosts were out there. You know, the ones who are giving away DIAPERS with the host's logo on them??? (or without logo, I'm really not picky!!!)

Sorry for the tangent, heh

Check bestfares.com. Works for me. They saved me $500 on a trip to Hawaii-Oz-Nz-Tahiti a couple years ago. (A trip with about 12 legs.)

I just found a roundtrip on bestfares from Cincy to Paris France for $370 over the holidays (I have a friend that wants to go home).

For some travel deals, it doesn't matter if you are traveling from Europe or to Europe.

Or try http://www.checktickets.com
(I found they're not too cheap to fly down to Brazil in April - I'm still looking).

FYI Air Canada is now selling round-trip tickets from LHR to YYZ for $664.90 CDN, which is about £300.

Chicken,
Heh, I think the flaw on the plan there is the whole newborn taking a dump on the company logo thing :) Not sure what the symbolic impression of that would be...

Wildwayz,
nice to see someone else that does the international relationship thing. I've been the same way for years now (we even have a 2 year old daughter through it).

Hmm yes it does seem airfares have gone against common sense and are more expensive than they use to be. The flight I booked for this X-mas is almost $1000 more than it was two years ago (30% more or so). I eventually found a deal with Air Canada that turned out to be cheaper even after taxes and insurance, then any other airline's basic ticket price.
