Lawrence 10-16-2001, 10:56 AM We're checking out a few at the moment ourselves - http://www.ematters.com.au is looking like the best we've found. There are a few more, but they slip my mind at the moment. You should be able to find a few through Google or something like that. Almost all of them require a National Bank merchant account. eva2000 10-16-2001, 11:20 AM i'm using revecom.com still just a note ematter's has some delays in rolling out it's multicurrency system with NAB was meant to be released this month but now it's Nov 15 i believe :) AussieHosts 10-16-2001, 12:12 PM We simply can't speak highly enough about PlanetPOS in Melbourne (www.planetpos.com.au). They're helpful and efficient, and are constantly developing their service based on feedback from their clients. We use them extensively, and cancelled our own NAB merchant facility long ago. Who needs it! :-) Regards Gary Lawrence 10-17-2001, 01:30 AM Originally posted by eva2000 i'm using revecom.com still just a note ematter's has some delays in rolling out it's multicurrency system with NAB was meant to be released this month but now it's Nov 15 i believe :) Yes, they did notify us of that, as we've been waiting for their new system. Apparently it was due to "internal issues with the NAB", but who knows. They are offering some sort of special pricing arrangement for the new service, but I don't remember the details. AussieHosts 10-17-2001, 01:45 AM Issues with the NAB...? Never! ;-) Gary 21inchguns 10-17-2001, 07:07 AM Editor, have you had many chargebacks while using planetpos.....How good is their fraud prevention........ AussieHosts 10-17-2001, 07:30 AM Not a one mate, ever. No chargebacks. No refunds. We've still got our first hosted domain from '98. As far as fraudulent cards go, we once had a "suspicious" order come through, and alerted PlanetPOS. Fair enough the card didn't check out, so the transaction was canned. Simple. We weren't hit with a chargeback fee, though I think we did pay the $2 to issue a "refund" so that the transaction was reversed. I would like to think that PlanetPOS wouldn't process one without speaking to the merchant though. That's how close they work "with" us, not just "for" us. I wouldn't expect any of our clients to up and leave, but if they did we'd sort out the $$$'s rather than leave them to have to fight for it. Regards Gary 21inchguns 10-17-2001, 07:49 AM thanks Editor, your info has helped me out alot....... just one other thing.....Does planetpos have some type of functionality that allows you to charge users for extras, such as extra bandwidth(if they exceed their limit) or disk space etc....... AussieHosts 10-17-2001, 08:08 AM Heya There are various ways you can make the PlanetPOS system work for you: Single links through the gateway charging for a set product with set parameters such as quantity. Single pages for a product, allowing a quantity to be entered (per X amount of MBs of excess data works) A single page called up by a URL that displays a particular category, allowing clients to pick and choose by item and quantity from a determined product list. The whole shopping cart. You can manually resubmit orders for rebilling (as long as the product is flagged as recurring which the client is made aware of at time of ordering. The full recurring system is almost ready for release. Diners and AMEX have recently been added to the card list. I think that's all...feel free to email me or post here with any other questions. I can provide you with an affiliate link as well if you wish, which would save you a few $$$'s, but I'm not telling you all of this just to make money myself. :-) We use it extensively, and have installed it for clients who have requested a CC processing solution, and nobody I know of has ever had a problem with them. Regards Gary Nigel 10-17-2001, 10:45 AM We've been using ematters for ages now and they have been great. |
