With UltrasBoard 2000 (http://www.ub2k.om) gone, I can't get the installer for Ultraboard Standard Edition 2.2.3. I am a licenced owner of UB2K.

I am moving servers and need the installer.

Anyone here who is a Licended UltraBoard Standard Ediiton user still have the 2.2.3 Installer? I really need it.

Thanks.

Hi,

I can't remember what version I have at home but I will try to check later.

Incidently, what DID happen to them?
One minute they were there and then without warning, gone. No emails to members about it - can't even remember any posts on their forums about it.

Pissed me off, as I only had the license a short while.

Is it wise to keep using ultraboard anymore? Their official support and site are gone.

In June, they released 2.2.3, and said that they were now focusing on v3. Then a few wekes later the databvases for the entire site went fown, so you couldn't download, use the forums etc.

Then a few weeks ago the entire site vanished.

I was really looking forward to v3, byut now that won't be happening.

I really do need the installer so I can move the board, or else I am screwed.

Here is my board.

ARGHHH I need the installer!!!!. I would have grabbed it in June, but the downloads section went with the Database.

2.2.1 is fine.

It's better then nothing. It will also save me from having to ripp the board from the server :D

Thanks

It's terrible isn't it. I use to run 1.61 I belive and when the 2.x came out I was going to buy it but then the site when down the crapper... :(

considering that they have no way to contact them and their site is gone does that mean we can consider it public domain :D

Got this from a cached Google.com search result:

As you are aware, our most recent discussion handler, UltraBoard 2000, "died" on the evening of Friday, August 31, 2001 for reasons unbeknownst to me. I immediately e-mailed UB2K tech. support, but after 5 days, and 3 E-mails asking for help went unanswered, I realized that UltraBoard had gone out of business. Desperate, I contacted our Web host for tech. support on day 6. On day 8, they informed me that they were not able to help us either and that UB2K would be the only ones able to correct the errors in scripting.
