I have a website using ~700MB disk space and ~15GB bandwidth/month.
This website has a forum(Invision Power Board), and this forum keeps arround 150 users at same time.

I found a lot of hosts selling more than this bandwidth and disk space, but I wanna have some oppinions before sign up with someone.

Iīve send an e-mail to lunarpages (~1:00 11/02 gmt), and untill now, no response.

I didnīt find anything bad about them on this forum, but searching internet Iīve found some complains about they are removing some websites with more than 90% cpu usage, how do I know if my website wonīt consume 90% cpu?

Can I search for a shared hosting? Or do I have to search for somethig more specific like an dedicated server?

The point is, I want some reliable server, not someone who tell me they canīt host my website after host it for a while.

Plus there is another problem, I donīt have much money to spend at this time. This website was sponsored until last month, so I never really had any expense with hosting.

Thanks.

btw, sorry for my english, Iīm from Brazil. lol

Any sensible web host would remove your website with an option to upgrade to a bigger plan or dedicated server if your website consumes more than 90% of CPU. I see nothing wrong with it.

There's no set way to know if your website would counse 90% or not.

Btw, you should check out google ads for earning some $$$ to be able to pay for good hosting. ;)

- Reliability
- Good Support
- Features
- Low Cost

Generally speaking, you can only have 3 out of the 4 above. My suggestion would be to look for hosts that don't put a lot of clients on one server so that the server isn't bogged down by your site, combined with others'. You might also want to look at a virtual dedicated or semi-dedicated server.

Yes I would definetly put google adsense on your site. You will make enough to pay for your hosting.

Agreed. You need a dedicated server with that many users. If you try and go even with a reseller plan you will likely have lost of "may user connection" mysql errors.

I would try and find someone to split a server with you at ev1 or servermatrix and hire an admin if you need help.

actually "150 users at same time" is not a big number :)

PaliteX, you still can go with virtual hosting, dont need a dedicated server what will take you lots of money and much time :)

I said that from experience as a person that has a forum that has 150 members online and have tried some of the best virtual hosts. 150 a site and 150 on a forum are different things.

Unless the host ups the max user connections for sql (which they won't to protect other clients) you are going to have problems with a virtual/shared plan.
