Well, a hardly computer literate teenage person I know was downloading some porno. He came to me saying,
"Man, I'm so scared! I downloaded a porno picture of one a celeb I had heard about. When I went to open it up, it was a black picture with the text.........."
This is the government. We now have your IP address and you will be put into our records for looking at illegal porno. Please send an email to bob@hotmail.com (I forgot the actual address) and give a formal apology. We will then remove you from our database.

Anyhow, I told my friend, since it was just a gif, that they couldn't get your IP from it, not to worry, it wasn't illegal porn, ect ect.

Anyways, this was a pretty good idea. This guy is gonna get tons of REAL emails from people that ACTUALLY LOOK AT PORN. He's gonna sell them to some porn company and get a buttload of cash... :puke:

It was through limewire, a user to user file sharing program, like napster :) . So unless the guy who he downloaded it from happened to be from the government, no they couldn't.

It may not have been a spammer... I know there were some anti-pr0n freaks (In otherwords uptight religious wackos) out on the gnutella networks that were doing stuff like this trying to scare people. Putting up fake gay pr0n and the likes with it being messages like "you're going to hell you f**!", etc, etc.
