A week ago I reported in this forum that someone offered over 100,000 USD for a domain I own. I did have some reserves about it. That was proven when the domainbroker (Sedo) canceled the transaction and gave me the contact info for the bidder so that I may take legal action (its a binding bid system).
What surprises me is that the bidder was someone from this forum. Since he scammed me, I see no point in keeping the name of the user a secret. This to protect others who may have to deal with him.
The user is: Khalifa and owns Kuwait based hosting company kw10.net
I have sent him a letter asking for his reasons... and never received a reply.

$100,000? That is a lot for a domain, I hope it was a very special name

You should not give a person a valuable domain until the funds have cleared.

It's basic common sense really.

I havent given him the domain. It was an escrow type deal. He sends in the cash to Sedo, then I would send my domain to Sedo, etc. Sedo however pulled the plug because that individual proved to not be trustworthy.

Not exactly a scam though? sounds more like a deal gone bad.
A scam indicates a deliberate and willful attempt to extract money or goods by dishonesty.

What was the domain?
If you still have possession, it's not a really big deal... kind of annoying, but not worth getting all worked up about, and certainly nothing you can sue over.

OUCH! At least you did the sensible thing with regards to chain of custody so to speak of the domain name being transferred.
Good info though

I agree with the others he's a deadbeat for not following through but he didn't scam you.

Well if you look at it that way. It's actually more than annoying. Why bid on a something, when you "know" it is binding. Binding for me in that I (as seller) MUST deliver the goods, and binding for him (the buyer) in that he MUST pay the agreed upon price.
Yes, what was the domain name? I'm curious...
