Anyone know where is the cheapest place to purchase Chillisoft ASP licence?

I noticed that a few providers running Esim with their machines that support ASP. Any idea how they do it?

IS it really a bad idea to install ASP on a Unix machine?
What sort of downside are there? Resources hog( CPU or ram or both)? How bad would it be?
