Just wondering, what protection does the RaQ4 server offer against those with bad intensions? Like defence against hackers, virus, etc. etc. etc.? If nothing, what can be installed on the server to help?

Thanks.

check for root kits:

install snort, which some folks say is better then portsentry. I have no knowledge to base this on, of course, being so wet behind the ears. (please, do not flame the monkey!)

I would suggest that you also install HostSentry, LogCheck and PortSentry - all available from http://www.psionic.com

Also, use the hosts.deny & hosts.allow file.

There is a heap of different options available to you.
You can even run Viralator to scan emails and things like that.
