Corey Bryant 02-09-2004, 09:47 PM What did you want it to do? I mean - did you want a service / voice mail or did you want it to just terminate to your phone line? Tekster 02-09-2004, 10:28 PM Thread moved dynamicnet 02-09-2004, 10:29 PM Greetings: www.kall8.com Thank you. viGeek 02-09-2004, 10:32 PM I can also recommend kall8.com FTPguy 02-09-2004, 10:41 PM Just throwing in a name. (Have not used their service.) www.telcan.net johnnyb3 02-09-2004, 10:43 PM www.gotvmail.net is good from what i hear, although i personally have never used it. i use angel.com which is great and easy to setup, although i would like to see better per minute prices. ruler 02-09-2004, 10:44 PM I just got another 1877 number from kall8. They provide a great service, I recommend them. illuzhen777 02-09-2004, 11:03 PM Originally posted by ruler I just got another 1877 number from kall8. They provide a great service, I recommend them. Another bid for Kall8 here. They are very affordable, friendly, and set up your account pretty fast. Cheers Ronald_Craft 02-09-2004, 11:10 PM telcan.net is good for me so far. no complaints. Di-Spy 02-09-2004, 11:17 PM If you'd like to avoid telco bills, i'd like to reccomend that you look into a voice over ip solution... for more info check out: http://www.vonage.com/ There are alot of other companies that do the same thing, however this is the only one i remember off the top of my head. Search for voip on google for more. Hope that helps. -Di Borne 02-10-2004, 03:16 AM These sound great. I've been looking for some good 800 providers. Does kall8 or telcan "brand" the 800 numbers of their customers? Meaning if someone dials the 800 number will they first here something along the lines of "(very brief music/tone) Kall8" and then be connected to the call? IQStudio 02-10-2004, 03:35 AM We use freedom voice, its great. cdgcommerce 02-10-2004, 03:52 AM Try out ringcentral.net as well - their 800works lets you keep your assigned 800# and you can move it. Plus, they offer an unlimited plan with unlimited inbound 800# minutes AND call transfers w/ multiple extensions. joelmoss 02-10-2004, 09:16 AM I am a UK company. Anyone know whether I can get a 1800 number and redirect that number to a UK number? Corey Bryant 02-10-2004, 09:25 AM We use freedom voice, its great. Thanks CDX. We have been thinking about getting them. I spoke with one person over there & she said it was great. Just been leery about getting it. Glad to hear someone else is happy with their service Ronald_Craft 02-10-2004, 10:46 AM telcan doesn't brand the numbers. when you call the 1-800 number, it goes directly to the number you have it redirected to without any interference. jasonkw 02-10-2004, 10:56 AM Originally posted by Borne Does kall8 or telcan "brand" the 800 numbers of their customers? You get connected directly to the number you specify. AL-Benjamin 02-10-2004, 12:18 PM Originally posted by joelmoss I am a UK company. DSD 02-11-2004, 12:12 AM We use uReach, it's great (we've got a 877 number there) westcan 02-11-2004, 12:49 AM telcan is nice uk person - it can be directed to any phone number (charges apply) brevig 02-11-2004, 05:11 PM http://angel.com is the most powerful I have found. It's very easy to use and has the availability to seamlessly integrate with a database of yours via API. Richard Aftermath00 03-09-2004, 01:52 AM you can start by calling your phone company and asking them IRCCo Jeff 03-09-2004, 05:06 PM I would personally reccomend a hardware PBX system with some type of unlimited long distance plan from your telco. (We have several telephone lines coming into our NOC from Verizon on the "Freedom Plan" which entails unlimited long distance to U.S./Canada, and extremely low rates to most other countries.) ddent 03-11-2004, 12:30 AM We are using Primus for our toll free number. The way they set your rate is by you negotiating with an account rep. The rate we have is lower than anything I have seen published. I'm pretty happy with the service, it has been reliable, caller ID still works, and getting set up was super easy. We just get an invoive every month for the minutes used (30/6 billing, which is also nice), and that is it. ddent 03-11-2004, 12:43 AM We have also been looking setting up a soft PBX system.. www.asterisk.org -- absoloutely incredible stuff. SiteResource 03-11-2004, 12:24 PM I reccomend accessline.biz great prices and you get free minutes every month. I have had 0 problems with them. Dynanet 03-11-2004, 04:25 PM Check with your telco, I was able to get a "Personal Toll Free" number from mine for $4.95/month easy enough. It likely depends on your line too, if it's a business line it will cost more, I opted for a residential line for my business since yellow pages ads weren't important and that was about the only benefit of having one. AdWatcher-Boris 03-12-2004, 04:07 PM Angel.com is actually a great choice - a little more expensive than your Kall8, but it has a lot more features and options. Richard I have used angel.com in the past as well and was extremely please with the products and service :) turnkey 03-14-2004, 01:09 AM Try Ask8.com, we used them and prices start arounf 10 bucks a month for basic 800 plan lostsoul 03-14-2004, 04:31 AM I use 800 # with Freedomvoice from www.freedomvoiceservices.com Cant go wrong with followme live number transfer and voicemail. :) lostpacket 03-14-2004, 04:38 AM PNG www.pngcom.com Telcan www.telcan.com I actually met some guys from there a few days ago. They are a great bunch and really know what they are doing, my next lines are going to be from them. greg1024 03-14-2004, 08:01 AM We use FreedomVoice. They have a really nice "hunt and find" system along with other cool stuff. Check them out at www.freedomvoice.com. TechDude215 03-30-2004, 03:14 AM I'd check out RiteRate. Rates are really cheap, like 99 cents per number www.riterateld.com/smallbusiness (http://www.riterateld.com/smallbusiness) -John Corey Bryant 03-30-2004, 10:11 AM FreedomVoice is great. We went thru a reseller & even became one. What sold us was they are in the final stages of helping the US troops to be able to call home - a lot easier than when I was in the military back in Desert Storm. They also suppport Motorola & Star Search as well. OIS 03-30-2004, 01:24 PM Originally posted by joelmoss I am a UK company. They do require that you make a $1000 deposit, though. cmtusa 04-04-2004, 03:42 AM We use Teligent! Very affordable! comcage 04-04-2004, 04:34 AM My business uses http://www.accessline.biz. So far so good. Friendly support, quick setup, low rates. Haven't had any problems. You get 200 minutes/month with your vanity number for $10.00/month. Once you go over the 200 it's only 4.9cents/minute. KarlZimmer 04-04-2004, 04:45 AM I recommend just going with whoever provides your long distance phone service, depending who it is it can normally be bundled onto a business account for cheap. xlr8web 04-04-2004, 07:53 PM FREEDOM Voice... awesome... iTec Hosts 04-05-2004, 05:36 AM I just went through my local phone company. $8.00 a month and the 877 and 866 numbers correspond to my businesses primary business number. Nevidia 04-06-2004, 01:13 AM We have been looking at freedom voice as well ... but their CDN long-distance rates can get a bit high if you're using their services to patch a network of call centres and NOC's together (12c USD / minute, almost 3x what we are currently paying). Their actual phone system looks amazing! Anybody know if there is a company with similar services (voicemail/patching system) but at a better long-distance rate? codywatkins 04-06-2004, 01:49 AM Do any of these online toll-free companies do 1-800 #'s for canadian companies? servermaze 04-06-2004, 09:46 PM telcan they have free vanity numbers. (you can search for the number you want, something like 1-877-your name) VN-Ken 04-07-2004, 02:48 PM If you just want 3 extentions for a low price, plus even more features, I definatly recommend tollfreelive.com. That is who KIOD Networking uses. Plans start at $9.95 SniperDevil 04-27-2004, 11:03 PM What about using these solutions with Asterisk, the linux-based PBX software? If you used vonage, you could do this I suppose. ddent 04-27-2004, 11:35 PM Check out nufone. You'll have to email their sales. But they can provision a toll free with IAX or SIP. jeffjackson0515 01-12-2005, 08:16 PM Here're your top choices: 1. Telcan 2. Gotvmail 3. Tollfreemax |
