Hi

I have web space on a cobaltRaq server which is owned by a friend. I have a full domain name and I set up two users one for a friend because so he could publish his web pages and the other one for the college course i am on but when we type in the URL we get an error message.

http://domainname/users/username/

File not found, the requested URL not found on this server.

I am thinking that mybe a box has not been activevated on the main part of the server?

If any one can help i then can pass this onto my friend to reset the server

You may want http://domainname/~username instead, depending on the configuration of the server.

http://domainname/username/

This still does not work you say "configuration of the server" Ido not have access to the root part of the server can you advise were my friend should look

Not http://domainname/username/
but
http://domainname/~username/

You need the tilde!

I am sorry, relooking at your post i miss read the tilde but thank you for pointing it out to me, to read a post slower and not jump in and think what i see is the answer

My order of things:
1) Jump to conclusions
2) Try and find info
3) Ask for help
4) Look at the help too quickly
5) If the help didn't work, look at it carefully
6) If the help STILL didn't work, complain
