WoodShedd 10-14-2001, 06:31 PM we should have a contest and see who has the most icons in the tray. Rewdog 10-14-2001, 06:51 PM Before i formatted a few years ago, when going to start, programs, there were 135 programs to choose from. Also, i ran out of room for icons in my 1024X760 Resolution. I was messy! Its so easy to download programs on a cable modem :) creid 10-14-2001, 07:08 PM Originally posted by WoodShedd we should have a contest and see who has the most icons in the tray. I have 12 and that is after i took off the ones i didnt need! Rewdog 10-14-2001, 07:11 PM Come on everyone, post your screenshot! You go up to the "Print Screen" key beside the f12 key, and paste it into your favorite picture editor program.... not that hard ;) SiperNet 10-14-2001, 07:45 PM Well here is my desktop, nothing to exciting. :D kb@iy-2 10-14-2001, 08:48 PM Here's mine... Follow your Fishie? He knows where to go? Even more whack - I just checked out Imbri and it's based out of Rapid City, SD! I'm out of Sioux Falls, SD. It's a good 5 hour drive but there's not really much between there and here. Anway, small world. lovelie 10-14-2001, 10:07 PM Hey.. I adore my desktop and my fishie :D Deb: Geez.. how on Earth do you find your way around?! Deb 10-14-2001, 10:08 PM Originally posted by lovelie Deb: Geez.. how on Earth do you find your way around?! ROFL! They did a good job with it. :) BravoComm 10-14-2001, 11:31 PM WOW! I think Deb wins the most icons contest! :) Here's mine... One Web 10-14-2001, 11:33 PM No, I don't have to love her. Now Alice... <3 I love that alice pic. They did a good job with it. Well:cool: getweb 10-14-2001, 11:47 PM Dual monitors anybody? (73kb) I wish the Windows taskbar would stretch across both screens though... getweb 10-14-2001, 11:51 PM Ok, let me try this again. Hey, I get credit for two posts for the work of one. JustinK 10-15-2001, 12:08 AM uhhh... what kind of monitor do you have? Are those editpad icons I see? :D getweb 10-15-2001, 12:13 AM I have two Compaq S710's (plain old 17 inch monitors). A screenshot in windows grabs both screens as one logical desktop. Of course it's EditPad! I'm a fan since early Editpad "classic". We should start a new thread, "how many files do you have open in Editpad?" I have 9. I use it for a scratchpad, clipboard buffers, to-do lists, compiler directives, php 'n asp coding.... :-) you can't see it, but I've got Trillian going too. Lets me do all the major chat engines at once (MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, IRC). Perfect for support, eh? IntraHost 10-15-2001, 12:39 AM Here's mine... oh and for credit where credit is due, the bg image is from http://www.subblue.com :) (the creator of the wonderful subBlue theme for phpBB. akashik 10-15-2001, 01:13 AM and of course the 'other' desktop... much nicer to use.. soothing in fact compared to Alice. :D ... and Linux of course! mahinder 10-15-2001, 01:25 AM i have lots of icons on my desktop. actually they covers my wallpaper but on this clip i have moved them all to bottom so that you guys can see my desktop. my desktop is very messsy :D JustinK 10-15-2001, 01:49 AM I'm re-organizing my desktop (both computer & actual). I can't stand a ton of icons all over. It makes it rather pointless to have perty wallpaper if you can't see it. :) akashik 10-15-2001, 02:04 AM Originally posted by JustinK I can't stand a ton of icons all over. It makes it rather pointless to have perty wallpaper if you can't see it. :) I tend to agree. I leave a lot of programs in the start menu - It's usually only the very commonly used ones that make it to the desktop. I saw Deb's desktop and it made my left eye bulge just trying to imagine using it  < impending brain explosion Generally having to do through the motion of the start menu gives me time to regroup when everything is running a mile a minute - a lesson learnt from the good old days as a bartender. In a middle of rush hour it was always good to stop everything - count to three then start at the start, and work through everything that needed to be done, one at a time. Greg Moore CRego3D 10-15-2001, 02:19 AM Originally posted by getweb Dual monitors anybody? (73kb) I wish the Windows taskbar would stretch across both screens though... On My Tornado 3K the taskbar goes accross the screen, on the new GVX420 it doesn't (didn't do in the GVX210 neither) here is my screen :) Seer 10-15-2001, 03:14 AM I take a different approach. No icons on the desktop, just extra toolbars and menus that are always on top. This was they're always right in view. http://centrice.net/misc/october.jpg Dahlia 10-15-2001, 03:29 AM mine's kinda boring :) going to take a shot of my workspace later on to post in that other thread, just have to find the driver for my webcam that will work with xp... Nicholas Brown 10-15-2001, 03:35 AM ack - what is it with everone and WinXP :stickout Dahlia 10-15-2001, 03:45 AM Nick, it's a new computer (i think they all come with it preinstalled, at least i dont think its out for everyone until the 15th).. i actually tried getting rid of it and it screwed everything up.. formatted 3 times lol and it still wouldn't go away.. until i found some sneaky partition that had everything stored on it.. but by then i just restored everything and said.. what the hell, i'll stick with it. got this one while i was waiting for my old one to come out of the shop.. now that i got two, 'you know who' is trying to snatch this one away from me. lovelie.. i adore del :) akashik 10-15-2001, 04:04 AM Originally posted by Dahlia lovelie.. i adore del :) :) Nice to see someone else picked on the Delerium picture.
