Hello, I always receive emails that my firewall dropped IPs from someone trying to hack my site. I always forward these emails to the address it provides. Is there anything else I have to do?

Just make sure you have the latest software installed on your machine, with security holes patched. These IPs aren't necessarily direct hack attempts, they may be bots looking for common exploits.

Depends on how it tries to hack. A lot of times, it's nothing more than trojaned boxes or computers trying to scan for more vulnerable servers to attack. Many a times, it may also just be a simple port scan which doesn't quite justify as a real hack attempt either.
