Has anyone ever come across this problem?

We have 4 different servers at an ISP (won't say which). Intermittently throughout the day, they will be inaccessible thru the web browser (server not found), nor can I get to them via FTP or SSH. BUT I can ping them and tracert looks fine.

I have compared the tracert info when it was "down" and "up" and they look identical.

Any ideas? ISP claims all is fine on their end, but when this happens, I cannot access their other customers' boxes, either.

Is it my DSL ISP?

Have you had other people test this for you too?

Nameservers maybe?

I've had other people test, too. Some can get to the servers, some cannot.

DislexiK - when you say Nameservers, what are you thinking?

I mean when you ping it its all ok, however when you try to connect, is it via IP through SSH or Domain name, if so isn't that relating to name servers and maybe domain name has not propagated?

both IP or domain name.

That it will be something to do with 2 things thats in my head:

Firewall (Not open ports?)
Services not configured correctly?
