Im not sure if anybody have heard of this company, but they are awsome. I have had a problem with cPanel all evening (all started with the dodgy update and deteriorated from there) and in the end me and two other server admins from the cPanel forums could not fix it and thought it was beyond repair (one of the guys recommended that i talk to Nick, the writer of cPanel because it was in such a bad state).

Anyway, one of them directed me to http://www.fastservermanagement.com so I spoke to them on AIM and within 5 minutes he had fixed the problem fully for $10. It could have cost a lot more had the server still been in trouble tomorrow morning. I will certainly be using them in the future.

Has anybody else had dealings with them in the past? I highly recommend them now, but surprisingly, I had not heard of them before today.

Anybody who may be new looking for a server admin team to help you run your server ..... well you cant go wrong with them, they only charge sumthin like $30 a month or $10 an hour and its guaranteed!

Care to let us know what problem were you facing?

Basically we had the problems with the dodgy update and followed all the instructions given by cPanel to fix it, but in the end, we had tried to update cPanel and it was not updating because of missing files or something. It got to the point where WHM would work (although not fully) but all the sites were down and cPanel would not work at all. We tried everything, and one of the guys (Squirrel) off the cPanel forums helps many people on there with many problems but he was lost as to how to fix this problem. But this company fixed it in 5 minutes, to be honest i wasnt expecting them to be able to and was expecting to have move all the customer accounts over to another box.

Was it license error?

It can be easily fix if you had problem logging into WHM after cPanel upgrade.

If I have not mistaken, cPanel server got attacked which cause such error.

If I have not mistaken, cPanel server got attacked which cause such error. No it wasnt that. When in SSH, it went so far updating cPanel and then just would not go any further. But because of this, cPanel would not work at all, it was not even recognized by WHM. Its safe to say, that we had been trying for most of the evening to fix this error and Squirrel had been trying for an hour or so and we could not fix it. I just think it may be a good company for people who are new to server etc as their monthly management prices are very low compared with others and they fixed my problem in about 5 - 10 minutes.

Hi,

We are also very pleased with our server admin company.

Like many other people, we had "lots" of kernel and various other issues with our Dual Xeon with RH ES 3.0 and C-panel server (SuperResellerz) from SM. Here si one of the thread that mentions all those issues we had:

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=229306

Since then, we have been using InstaCarma.com (parent site carmatec.com), and almost all issues have gone away. They have done lot of improvements on kernel, firewall etc and now the server is up for about 10 days with no issues.

I really recommend them if you are looking for an always available and helpful server admin company that you can depend on.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks.

Rick Kumar Have you used them strictly for server management or for customer support as well? If for customer support what has been the average response and quality of answers?

We are not a hosting reseller.

The server is strictly for our own dating network www.matchpedia.com .

So we are using them for server management/admin.

Thanks.
