I know WHT and HostHideout aren't really affiliated, but how about having a chat option at the top with all the buttons? It would be cool to use HostHideout's chat, and we could get the place really hopping :)

Just a cut and paste job really take the 'C' from the Calender button take the 'h' and the 'a' from the Search button and the 't' from the logout button.

Hate to be picky, but it might be better if it opens in a new window.

What I liked about yours was that it fit more with the theme. Mine was more of a HostHideout theme. And I would agree that it should open in its own window too.

Lately it has been pretty quiet, but I bet it starts to pick up more now.

It might be a good idea to make the chat buttom stand out a bit more so people will see it then join the chat. When I joined it there was only one other person. (and considering how popular this board is I'm quite sure you could have a winner if you make the button stand out)

Well, here are my ideas for the chat. I think it would be really nice to have a place to meet other WHT'ers and just chat about life, or sometimes get some quick help for emergencies. A place to hang out while new posts and threads are submitted :)

After the Chat Server is moved, I'll forward the test site's page to Matt and see if he wants to try linking it up with the membership base. Like I said in another thread, I've gotten it to work with another membership system, so it is possible, that I know. It can be set to pop up (and that seems to be what people want), and match the WHT colors.

Should be a nice addition, and option for people, and possibly strengthen the community. Just give it a couple of weeks...

Maybe include a "Host Hideout Chat" promotion in the ad rotation? Just to get things rolling?
