I tried to upgrade to Perl 5.6.1 was happy when it went fine, installed all the modules that i presumed I would have needed to, then i got to actually going into the control panel.

I was greeted by a nice Internal Server Error window

so then it was into adm_error which revealed the following

Looks like you haven't installed the "Pg" module.

i highly suggest reverting back to whatever ver you had because it will break your control panel....its been done many times before and it always breaks

i compiled the postgresql module again and it sorted itself. I now run 5.6.1 it took around an hour to upgrade in total.

looking to upgrade to perl 5 on a raq4 sys any tutorials suggestions horror stories or info appreciated:confused:

well on the RaQ2 just make sure to chek your path!!! 5.6.1 defaults to /usr/bin/local my admin GUI was also fried....

reinstalled to /usr and all was fine
