I used them about 3 months ago. Wasn't too impressed with their response time to certain questions. Also, there were many times when I was given incorrect answers.

When I first got into this business back in the late 90's I was a VAR for them.. Backs then it was called softcomca.com and at the time they where not that bad.. Used to host on NT servers and we normally had little downtime that I could see.. Once we got moved to a server with Win2k we noticed the server rebooting many times per day.. We sent in a lot of support tickets and normally after about 24 hours we got a "canned" answer like We are working with MS to figure out the problem and get it solved.

Well after a little while like that and our customers getting mad because of the daily interuptions we figured we might as well just start running our own servers.. We moved all but one customer off there system and they finally cancelled due to lack of interest in the website at the end of December..

Are they a good host? Maybe for some.. I have a friend that has been using them since 1998 or so.. He referred me to them, he is happy but his website is not all that critical soooo...

The only thing that I know now that I did not know then was they offer unlimited traffic and back then I thought that was great but I know much better now... So with that being said.. they are a $9.95/month Windoze host offering unlimited BW so my guess would be that they would have to stuff a lot of people on each search to make it worth while??? That is just a guess to please no flames.

One thing can be said that is good, after 5+ years they have not changed their prices or gone out of business and that is more than most hosts can say (well if they were still in business).

If Myhosting.com had troubles upgrading from NT to Windows 2000 servers, they are most likely having trouble upgrading customers from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003.
