WHT has given many so many great sites where I can get deals/offers, so I decided to give back. I've bought quite a few things from http://www.ubid.com including a 500 mhz 64 mb ram computer for my mother for her basic word processing, email ect. I bought it 2 summers ago, and its really a great machine for her needs, and I only spent $299! This was back when 900 mhz was the top speed in proccessors. I, however, had a bad experience which I will post here to inform folks about the other side of uBid. I was high bidder on a laptop, and the one they sent was not the model I'd bid on but an older, slower model with a smaller screen, worth maybe $200-$300 less. I had to threaten to report them to the BBB, AG, and FTC before they answered my e-mails about the issue. Then, all they did was offer me a $75 discount on my *next* purchase if I kept the laptop they'd sent. I said "no way," and returned the laptop at their expense, and that was the last time I'll ever deal with them.
