I have been using one host for about a year. About once a month I'll get an error saying that the database cannot connect to the mysql server. Everytime I try to make them aware of this problem they
A) tell me that this problem was resolved a long time ago, and that I should clear my cache. After clearing my cache and waiting a few more days the database will finally connect.
or B) They'll say the latest build of Cpanel has caused this error and that they are working to fix it.
My question is: has any other customer using Cpanel experienced this or to webhosts is this really a problem or is my chain being pulled?
Cpanel seems like a good, popular control panel, and I'm not really buying that it could be used by so many hosts & clients if it has these frequent bugs that cause databases not to connect.
