How many IPs are there in the world..
256.256.256.256 is the max right? Sorry im not a CS or related Major.... I just wanted to know :)

255... wouldn't what be like over 4 billion combinations possible? I don't think that's right.

You're right... except that so many different parts of the address space are reserved for weird junk, like multicasting...

I believe they're thinking about adding another sequence to the IP address to add more IPs

For example, you can't have IP with 10.x.x.x or 192.x.x.x . Any other?

The top number of class-C networks is 223.255.255.254.
Reserved numbers (for private networks)
are:
10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255
