I just came here today to announce I must be nuts because I still can't make up my mind between ENOM or Directi to resell domains with using API.

I can't tell which one would be better and which one would have a better more customizable API as I want the entire domain registration area (including the "domain name manager" section) to be within my site's layout.

Will someone tell me which one to choose so I can get on with my life! :crap:

Poor thing :D

I'd recommend Enom simply because they are established longer and they have better support and resources.

The point of using an API is to have it done transparently, i.e. without the need to redirect to a Registrar page etc.

ENom has more TLDs and features. That is why I prefer eNom.

Frosty :: which are better Red Cars or Blue Cars ?

Answer : whichever one does what you want and is a colour you like !

surely the descision is do their respective API's allow for the things *you* want to do, and if so and they're equal in all other respects, which one you are more comfortable with.

In a straight poll you'll probbaly get more people vote for enom simply as they're more widely used, more established and so on.

My vote - enom, been extremely happy with them so far, no they're not the cheapest, no their API's not the fastest, no their support's not instantaneous, but they do everything we need, at a price we're prepared to pay and are unlikely to "vanish" overnight.

I would say enom because they have better customization features and they have better support.

Ok thanks you guys actually helped... I will choose ENOM in that case. I just liked how Directi was going to have branded WHOIS e.t.c.

Yeah, that's why I want to use API for sure, I want it to be transparent and have everything within my site's layout :)

I can get ENOM domains eventually for the price of $6.95 at cheapest and Directi at $6.50 so ENOM is realy only 50 cents more expensive, no biggy.

So ENOM wins.
