I've been tossing around alot of ideas latey from Netra Servers, staying with Linux/Intel boxes...but now seem to be leaning towards buying a server from qsol or similar with Solaris 8(32-bit) instead as the price difference is huge per perfomance over getting a Netra.
My question then is where is a good place to colo at? RackMy seems to have some great prices, but they seem to be mostly windows based(RackMy - correct me if i'm wrong here) and in the case that I might need their support on my colo I'm not sure if they would be able to help me much.
What other Colo Providers would you guys recommend that have good Solaris knowledge? I'm looking for just a 1U so that eliminates anyplace that makes you buy in bulk like 15U. Additionally I will need about 50 gigs of bandwidth a month to start with, which is expected to go up.
I'd like the Colo place to offer support for solaris(pay per incident or similar - not expecting them to do OS reloads etc for free).
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated....also anyone to avoid would be great.
