Have they improved there network? I heard they went from 100mbps to 1000mbps and is this true?

I hope they duct taped that cat5 cable they kept tirpping over down.

They've always been on a GigE... I think they were only on a 100mbps connection for about 2 weeks.

man that happened like months ago.

It'd be safe to suppose not most of WHT folks have servers with them, and there'll be even less now for a while.

Their main IP is on a network within ServerWest, which routes to TCH networks and Assertive Networks. TCH and Assertive look to be the point at which their traffic routes directly to Level1 providers.

This information was obtained through ASN information for their network.

Because they don't respond.

Even if they upgraded, until their support team started swaying some of the reviews we read on these forums, I'd stay away from them.

I would recommend managed for their price only, the network is slow (160ms) and i have noticed some of my sites slower than they previously were before they were transfered to my managed server.

Im going to discard my managed server and replace it with a nocster one.

How did you find all this out?

Level3? - I thought managed.com were 100% Abovenet bandwidth?

PS: I am not a managed.com customer (i'm a ServerMatrix customer actually), but I just have an interest in routing etc..

I'm getting 35-40ms ping times so you must be on the other side of the US for you to be getting 160 ms pings. I have 2 servers with them and have had no downtime with the exception of 2 weeks ago when everybody there was down for a day off and on. It seems to be that everyone that really trash talks against them are the few people that have had problems or people that have not hosted a server with them...hmmm.

Im getting 160ms all the time from UK 576 Download stream.

While nocster is around 110ms download street.

Nocster is east coast and Managed.com is west coast. The latency difference is due to geographical distance.
