Hi,

Anyone who can recommend a motherboard that:

- has support for 1GHz+ Intel CPU (single or dual)
- can handle at least 2 GB of ram
- has built in NIC(s)
- has built in video card
- has built in SCSI card (we have a 36GB IBM UltraStar SCSI drive)
- supports UDMA (for our IDE drive)
- will fit in a 2U case without any problems

Please let us know if you know of such motherboard and where we can buy it online for the cheapest.

The one we have in mind right now is a TYAN S2510U3NG SERVERSET III LE CHIPSET ATX FORM FACTOR 2xPCI(64BIT)/4xDIMM W/ULTRA160 SCSI & INTEL 82559 LAN that costs $495.00 USD.

Here's the URL with more info about the above board: http://www.tyan.com/products/html/thunderle_p.html

Thank you.

ASUS CUR-DLS - we run this in our java server (primarily for the whopping 4 GB of RAM capability). Might not be cheap anymore, though. That Tyan sure sounds nice. :)

Yeah, I like the features and the price of the Tyan board. However, I do not have any personal experience with that brand and would appriciate any guidance.

Tyan is good. Asus is good. Supermicro is good.

Take your pick, but stick to boards with Serverworks chipsets.
