"The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'goingto@mail.com'. Subject 'test', Account: 'Test', Server: domain.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <goingto@mail.com>... Relaying denied. Please check your mail first.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79"

I get this message everytime I send an email using our domain as a SMPT server. Friday it was working perfectly fine, and then this morning it wasn't. Nothing has been changed on my server. Anybody know how to fix this?

PS: I replaced the recipient above with goignto@mail.com and the server with domain.com just for confidentiality.

Possibilities:

1. Pop-auth took a digger and broke somehow.
2. ISP suddenly decided to block port 25
3. I'm sure there are amny more possibilities.

I might be able to test 1 & 2 for you if you set me up an account and email me info.

Hi Chicken,

I have the same "Relaying denied. Please check your mail first." problem thats started with any new domains I add. I can add users to existing domain names and email to those accounts work fine.

How can I check if there is a problem with the POP Auth? Or what else may be causing this problem?

Well, so everything works on old domains fine? User checks pop and can send no problem, but this isn't the case with new domains? Same ISP (ruling out ISP problems)?

Yes... all domains that were working still work. And I can create new users on those domains and they work fine too. Only the new domain names I add to the Raq don't work.

Users don't use my Raq for SMTP. Just for POP.

The POP BEFORE SMTP RELAYING is not checked off in my Email Properties settings. (if this makes a difference).

My client also has problem like nEMESIS4 : SMTP Problem

"The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected
by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'tom_xxxx@yahoo.com'.
Subject 'test', Account: 'Tom', Server: 'www.xxxxxxx.org',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 <tom_xxxxx@yahoo.com>...Relaying
denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number:
0x800CCC79

How I must do so my client can send using my server SMTP (Raq3)?
