I've been attacked by someone, I have the IP address. Now is there anything else I can do other then banning the IP from apache? It also attacked our shoutcast servers, this however was short-lived also.

Sending the IP address and server logs to the ISP will also sometimes help. They can shut the owner down. If the true user of the IP wasn't malicious, at least the ISP can close up any problems that came from their network.

Track the IP, see which provider it belongs and then send them all the required details for further investigation. You can also contact your datacenter and get the IP blocked from the router level as well.

Yeap, contact the abuser's ISP or your DC to block it.
