Does anyone know why this error would occur suddenly?

Nothing has been changed at all and this was noticed about an hour after the last person successfully posted.

Could you state which version of phpBB you're using, and the exact error? Also, try searching phpbb.com's forums. :)

But before you do that, i'm pretty certain a table name was mentioned in the error message. Run a repair on that table through phpMyAdmin. . . sounds like a corruption.

Been there tried that thanks. :rolleyes: You think some posters at WHT are rude? How about their attitude on a couple of occasions when I was new to PHPBB? I had errors that I couldn't figure out, their answer? "You are the administrator, you should know how to fix it" :( I didn't know, that is why I ask them!

Anyway problem solved with the help of my friendly neighbourhood host, who walked me though unknown territories. Thanks Gary! :beer:
