Hello,

QWK.Net is looking to round out its support offering with some part-time technical support help.

Basic qualifications include:

- *exceptionally* customer-service oriented
- honesty, reliability, and ability to work without supervision
- strong written communication skills
- good familiarity with the UNIX hosting environment, including shell usage
- at least basic familiarity with PHP, Perl, and MySQL is highly desireable.

This is a contract position. Because of legal considerations, this offer is open only to U.S. residents 18 or older.

You will not be required to log hours or devote shift time exclusively to QWK.Net work. Rather, you'll just need to check the ticket system periodically during agreed times, particularly outside business hours, and deal with any open issues. This would be ideal for college students or others that can periodically check in while performing other tasks.

We prefer to offer compensation in the form of services plus a negotiable amount of cash. This would, for example, be a great way to get a dedicated server at no cost.
