View Full Version : ev1servers for SSL and domain name registration

Hello all,

Ev1servers sells a GeoTrust QuickSSL certificate for $49. If I were to purchase said certificate, would ev1servers have anything to do with the security process after the purchase? In other words, would this certificate be any different than one purchased directly from GeoTrust for $159? As I understand it, users visiting secure pages on my site would see the GeoTrust name, correct?

Also, does anyone have any experience with ev1 when it comes to purchasing and transferring domain names? In the event that I have to transfer my domain name, I don't want to live some of the horror stories that I've read about here. :)

Ev1 has some good price points for these services, but are they "too good"? Just a buyer trying to beware here. :)

Thanks,
-Dave

They are issued by and the same as the Geotrust product.

We've used both services and they have been outstanding.

I used EV1 for the SSL myself too.. They process the payment and after that you are off to the geotrust website to complete the process. So you know it is all Geotrust.

The EV1 SSL registration is the best I have used. (I have only tried 2) I used the one built into CPanel/WHM once. It took about 4 days to get setup.

All completley automated too, so you'll have your certificate in about 10-15 minutes. Cheap as well, which is nice!
