I want to apologize in advance if my question appears somewhat childish...

I was wondering if you guys can tell me what the best reselling/affiliate company is for me.

I don't plan to start a re-seller/web hosting company. I'm just a web designer and rather than paying full price for the webhosts, I'd like to basically buy it at a reseller price and sell it to my customer at full price. I'm just a student and I have expenses that's what I'm doing this. I'm not a full time web designer so I don't get 100s of projects, but I received about 10-20 a year. I was wondering how I can maximize profits and minimize cost.

If you guys can help, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

Aside from ALL CAPS TOPIC HEADINGS (which aren't needed, trust me, we read all the posts pretty much, even the non-all caps ones :)), you might want to check out resellerinfo.com (specifically this URL: http://resellerinfo.com/types.html ) for info on the different types of reselling types available. It might steer you towards one or another.

I'll second the hostingmatters.com recommendation. A month or so I was pretty much in the same postition as you and tried out Annette's company and haven't had a complaint. Stephanie and Annette seem to spend way too much time online and I get answers from them very quickly. They also seem to enjoy what they do for the most part too *lol*

From a webdesigner point of view they are very helpful in setting up all that nasty-ass backend stuff we seem to have to do these days, and as a result makes it easier to offer higher price things like databases in sites etc. The 'wholesale' price is pretty great too.

We at HostX2 do not currently offer web design services to our clients. We do give clients needing these services a list of web designers. We get this list from current designers ether Hosting with us or taking part in our affiliate network. This service is free and might be what you’re looking for.

Hey, not a problem. For some reason most people miss that announcment from Sysadmin.. Hmm... Might need to be more prominent in the future.

Another good host that offers reselling is http://www.olm.net/ although they are somewhat expensive.

There are a couple of good ones out there. You may want to checkout web2010.com. I used them in the past, however they do not provide virtual domain name servers - that causes a big problem because your clients will easily know you are reselling someone elses stuff. I currently use Hosting24-7.com. They offer virtual DNS and their prices are the lowest I have seen anywhere so far - $3.95 for 50MB - you can visit them at http:www.hosting24-7.com. Hope this helps. Good luck.
