Isn't his due to the acquisition of Chinon (which Kodak already owns like 60% of)? Should actually be good for Kodak, which has been hurting pretty badly due to drastically decreased film sales. Chinon is a big name in digital cameras and the source of much of the Kodak technology in that area.

Hopefully it's for the better. When Kodak's financial status improves and it's worth folds a couple, it may be able to recruit these same 15,000 staff back.

Disgruntled Kodak Employee shoots 50 before turning camera on self!

Honestly, Kodak is suposed to be one of the best comaines to work for. I wouldnt doubt that after reconsolidation or what ever they must do, they hire back those they let go.

I used to work in sales (camera film) and got out while I still could. Of course I ended up getting into the fax business, and saw where that was going. Luckily, people still make lots of babies so I'm fairly certain my current profession won't be outdated any time soon.
