Stupid people, why do they set a "minimum offer" on there domains, which is drastically out of proportion.


They hold domains for years on end with noone buying them, yet they still continue to ask for a ridculous amount of money?

Pillhead, maybe they dont expect to sell the domain name? Domains can earn money from traffic, and if you are ending up there, they are probably earning a decent amount of money and have no incentive to sell unless someone offers them a very high amount of money.

Its a good concept, a most definate believable one.

:D many great names are huge money makers in terms of search pages and affiliates. I believe sex.com is just a huge affiliate site. Such domains dont need to be developed to earn heaps of cash ;)

500$ is nothing in terms of what some places will ask for.

Yip, I was after an abreviation of our main site and in fact the company we have registered, name. WotR Ltd, but wotr.com is up for $1800, pretty weird as I cannot see how it is worth that much. BUt guess they must make something of it.....I am certianly not forking out that for it.

Thats the one I want. I cannot think of any reason that domain is worth anything, it has no help for search engine ranking, it is not something that you would type randomly.

I want it as a small domain for my company, mpfspromotions.com and mpfsrecords.com, but I'm not that fussed, its more of something id like to have, in no way is it a need.

well you obviously typed it in, so they are getting some amount of traffic:)

domaindeluxe own around 65,000 domains and would be making millions per year, not surprising they aren't selling domains for peanuts.

didn't realize their portfolio was that large snoop, bigger than I thought :)
