Must be some dns caching etc. I still get their old site. Checked multiple browsers and I still get the same site. Oh well.

Hmm... just a thought...

I know there is another thread concerning Noc24, and most of there clients are in big trouble... I'm glad I only had 2, so I moved them out first chance I get.

But is it possible, that let's say this company named xxxx.com was so bad... that when it closed down... someone else actually registered it again and decided to start a business with the same line of service?

I mean it is popular, just not in a good way. Wonder how well will that guy do...

Just saying my "What Ifs..." hehe

Well, we will try to make a english website up as soon as possible and probably have a dedicated server webpage..

Not too sure yet at this moment....have to well discussed before making any decisions.

I get a NetSol page. I guess we should all be on the lookout for any signs of Kevin Kemp showing up with a different domain. Too bad it's so easy in this business to start back up under a different name.

I guess theres no point in starting a thread for my "3-4 month Noc24.com review". It should be enough to say Noc24.com was just the biggest piece of **it to ever hit the hosting industry. Strangely though it was not much worse than the one I left before Noc24. Resellerspace.net was bought and then abandoned and the owner never heard from again. But he (Robin) at least left the servers active so I had time to get out and onto Noc24 servers.

What a load of crap these people are! I swear! I don't really make any real money hosting but at times I will walk through fire practically to make sure peoples sites stay online. Not because it is so profitable but just because it's the right thing to do. I can't imagine just hanging people out to dry.

If ever have to shut down I sure wont follow in the footsteps of lowlifes like Noc24.com and resellerspace.net.

mabye they just overlooked the expiry date on the domain? not trying to make excuses, no serious business should ever let that happen but is there any other indication that they have gone for good? are peoples servers still up?

Xcel
01-21-2004, 01:17 PM
Some servers may still be up. There might be a few willing fools left that will continue to communicate with Kevin. Kevin will probably communicate privately with those he can still suck a few dollars from.

When they no longer serve any purpose for him he will cut their throats like he did the rest of us.

i personally know several people, including me who have paid to get that name as soon as it is on sale again. but knowing netsol, it may never be returned to the public

i did find this to be pretty interesting

Hello,

Just a brief note to let you all know that NOC24 is alive and doing very well. I left for Xmas Holiday the morning of Dec 21st. for a week of family celebration. Many things transpired in my absence and I was forced to return early. I flew in on Xmas day and handled matters swiftly and decisively. If there are any details that you think we should know about your account. Let us know ASAP by contacting us at support@noc24.com or by visiting the HUB.

* A security notice - Recently an attempt was made to steer NOC24 clients toward another hosting service in attempt to gain billing information. Make sure you are dealing with authorized NOC24 employees when conducting business with NOC24. Only use a NOC24.com email address, webpage, or the HUB to conduct business unless you are absolutely sure you know who your are dealing with. Only use phone numbers listed on the NOC24.com website.

NOC24 will celebrate it\'s SIXTH year of service and support next week on January 3rd. 2004. You can be assured that we will continue to be a force in the industry for years to come.

I would like to take this time to wish you all Happy Holidays and best wishes for a great New Year to come for all of you.

Best Wishes in the New Year!
Kevin Kemp, Director
http://NOC24.com

also, if you are still looking for kevin, he can be found here

My websites were never down but thank you for the concern.

I did say that in previous posts - those were the times when I was berated for participating in the forum if I wasn't having problems.

He didn't charm me. I respected his ability to fix things that went wrong, and appreciated how he went above and beyond in September to assist me in moving applications and client data from another host to his. He managed my server very well and very reliably on every occasion up until December when whatever went so wrong that he either knowingly - or through a series of events/circumstances - went into an unrecoverable destroy and pillage mode.

My server WOULD have been unplugged this week had I not remained in contact with the data center while I continued to give benefit of the doubt and hope that NOC24 would emerge professionally and live up to the standard that had been established for me during the time I was a customer.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen, and I am forced to say - I was wrong. And I did.

I believe you're thinking of Mike Lavers & family, of Cedura (.net - used to be Reseller Matrix, changed their name, and now resellermatrix.com is owned by Vortech, who has no connection to the Lavers).

I too was on NOC24 until recently. Kevin was a big help during the last year. Till he fell in a sinkhole or something, I felt as belindaj did. I did start moving sites when Noc24 went into its tailspin. Luckily, I do regular backups, so although my customer sites were still up on NOC24, I moved them with minimum outage. As LaurenStephens said earlier, I would not have found my new service providers if this hadn't happened. It seems on NOC24 we were dumb and happy however now we are alot wiser and more careful going to new providers.

Vortech

Yea we are not the old resellermatrix.com.. :) We had matrixreseller.com and just saw it ran out so went ahead and got it the other way as well... ;)

Thanks, Annette....I just couldn't remember the name....and they were so big time scamming from multiple states under multiple companies and names....maybe they should be credited as setting the standard for all these others to aspire to.

A couple of years ago Hotmail went down. The engineers could not figure it out. Then some guy back east realized their domain expired. He chipped in the dollars to get it registered. It can happen to the big boys too.

Kevin is NOT back... well... not as "noc24" at least....

I am actually pretty pissed off... I just looked at my CC notice and seen that I was billed AGAIN by CentraHost Corp (noc24) on Jan 23. Funny, calling the number on the statement goes to some consulting group that has nothing to do with Kevin. Chargeback should be easy... but I need to get him to stop billing!

So, if I am asked real nice, I just may let everyone know EXACTLY where Kevin's new hosting AND domain reg sites are....
