Well it is sad that the other thread closed..
filled with lies and speculation..

People can not voice their opinions anymore? *sigh*

Just as a point here, you were repeatedly asked to contact John or someone else at vBulletin to verify your information. Don't act like this came out of nowhere.

Complete lies, I love how some people have their head so far
somewhere.. They do not stop to think (hey what if this was me).

But to answer your lies ....

Here is the story behind this lie:

I said in a thread "Fine I will email support@jelsoft and have them answer my questions"....

Well John replied and said I "I have not gotten a email"

------

This is the only time I ever seen John post.....
I never got a letter from anyone john or otherwise....
they never said mail us with your customer number and password.. plus I would not mail anyone that tells me to in
a thread (how do I know who they are)

-------

They should have mailed admin/webmaster/yourhostsucks@yourhostsucks before
mailing a letter to my provider demanding that my site be shut
down because I was a criminal running pirated software..
Regardless of what lies you think up to try and defend them...

THEY SHOULD HAVE MAILED ME FIRST!

(If you would think for a second and not be to worried about
(hey jelsoft may read what I post, I better defend them regardless
of how wrong their actions where)......)

Finally, directly to YourHostSucks, if you are so worried about the license information being stolen, why didn't you take the time to read on what happens when you do input it? The number and password are validated against the database, and then the password is discarded. That's right, even if someone by some miracle got into your vBulletin forum account, they would have a license number. Guess what it takes to get into the member's area? A license number and a password. Yes, that's what you're so worried about, is someone obtaining a useless license number. Even if it was put into the public domain (which it is not; view any user's profile to verify this for yourself) it is useless without the 12 letter and number randomly-generated password.

I am so sick of this question, plain and simple....
I DID NOT WANT TO DO THIS
I WAS NOT WILLING TO DO THIS
I DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS

It is my feelings and I do not care what mumbo jumbo you guys say over
and over.. I was not willing to do this..

----------------------------------------------
But the people at jelsoft took a even more unprofessional
step and entered this information in my $#@ profile..
EXACTLY WHAT I DID NOT WANT...

So stop talking about it already..

---------
I would also like to note that he even said the name of one of
my sponsors in the thread he posted in... so he knew I had a license..

Plain and simple:
THEY SHOULD HAVE MAILED ME BEFORE MY PROVIDER DEMANDING MY SITE BE SHUT DOWN!

And why are you still using them if you hate them so much?

Well if you forked over that much for a board you'd probably still be using it too. :) I'm not worried about jelsoft seeing me post this to defend them. I'm not on any one side either. He did say he tried to contact you. Not as much as they should have, in fact far less. Yes, when he e-mails your service provider like that it is calling you a criminal, he apologized. I didn't read into what he was saying as still calling you a criminal, however aggrivation can cause people to read things differently. That "eye of the beholder" thing fits well into this situation. Them entering info into the forum for you was not right as you didn't give them permission to add the info they have on you already into their board.

People can voice their opinions, there is a 7 page thread that you must have missed. But enough is enough. This isn't going to be solved in the forums, and I think we've heard everyone's opinions (a few times, if not over and over). BC asked for a cooling off period, and after reading that thread, one is needed. Please let that thread stay closed for a bit...
