Hi,

Probably a very simple answer to this (and one i maybe should know)..

When i create accounts in WHM and then go to use FTP I have four directories.

mail
public_html
public_ftp
www

What are these for? Can I not get it to just display the html dircetory with just the cgi-bin inside?

Also when i go into the publi_html folder there are various vti folders and also two html documents (vti_inf.html and postinfo.html) What are these?

Your help would be appreciated on this.

mail is for your email...

public_html is where you should upload files you want to be available to the public by accessing your site through domain.com / ip

public_ftp is for anonymous ftp ( i think - can never remember this one )

www is for the subdomain www.domain.com

Matt

Thanks.

Also how do you point multiple domains to one account?

You can use the "Park or Point a Domain" tool.

You get them when you install FrontPage extensions.

I think you use the domain forwarding option to do that.

www is just a symlink to the public_html directory ;-)
