There have been numerous reports (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s=) of slow response times in getting the servers.
Maybe try contacting managed.com (mailto:sales@managed.com) and see if they can provide an update.

kingpcgeek 01-20-2004, 07:41 PM They are very quick at canceling servers. Emailed cancellation last night, got a "are you sure?" response at 1AM and replied back this morning that I was sure and they responded back that it was canceled.
IRCCo Jeff 01-21-2004, 04:05 AM Out curiousity, is the concern with Managed that they do not provision servers quickly enough or that they make (alleged) false promises and/or do not keep customers updated?
Five days setup, and I have a ticket open going on four days.

Shouldn't it work the other way around?

they may need available servers to sell !
Byrone 01-21-2004, 09:28 AM My server has just vanished off the face of this world. No pings, no reply from emails or/and tickets, no nothing.
If only this were operated in AUS, i would have the Department of Fair Trading upon them.

tymonhall 01-22-2004, 06:50 PM Hi, I want to get peoples comments on what they thing about managed.com, their service, thier servers, thier network.
I have seen a few people complain about the company but I do know that companys are going to have thier ups and down, I also know that people may complain cause they have nothing else better to do with thier time.
phactor 01-22-2004, 06:52 PM Use the search function..

tymonhall 01-22-2004, 06:56 PM I know about the search feature, I only see a few of the same people complaining. But I want responces from current users. Some who think thier good and bad

itspoopagain 01-22-2004, 06:58 PM You hardly have to search to see what people think about managed.com.
There will always be some unwarranted complaints, but in general, if a service that cheap was even halfway decent, people would be pleased enough to keep complaints to a minimum.
phinsup 01-22-2004, 07:16 PM If you don't mind no support, no network redundancy and no ability to be updated when things do go wrong, then Managed.com is the place for you.
They were down most of yesterday, no one was updated, even still today no updates as to the issue and/or what is being done to prevent it in the future. Communication is non-existant and through all of the issues, which the network is still pretty slow, their #1 priority was to add some new packages to the website. Gives you an idea of their priority's. I was one of the people that said give them a chance, etc, etc... and I signed up for a box to give them a try.
I'll be cancelling it when the month is up. ;)
Don't waste your time, you can get a slightly less powerful server for only a couple bucks more elsewhere. Furthermore, you won't notice the lack of power because managed's network is so slow you'll never reach full resources on your box anyhow.
Cirtex 01-22-2004, 07:19 PM Did you get a chance to take a look at this forum?
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=59
Also, there's been many comments bout them from Their Current* Customers already, so I dont understand why you can't find anything using search
Good luck
Mrdredd 01-22-2004, 07:24 PM Break open the piggie bank kid and check out servermatrix or ev1servers.net instead.
propcgamer 01-22-2004, 07:26 PM I wish people would stop mentioning and asking about them every day. Do people not realize that you cant get that much for that little and shouldnt expect support etc for such a low price?
