Hi.

I use to work with ASP and Access DSN. Now I am planning to upgrade to SQL (7). Does anyone know if ususlly Hosting providers provide any visual console to manage the databases? Any visual tool to create tables, databases, stored procedures, and other stuff. If not how is the db setup process?
Does anyone have any URL to any site that has a preview or snapshots of a SQL Admin console or something so I can start learning before signing up?

Thank you

Check out communitech.net. They have some nice NT plans, and I am pretty sure they have a SQL manager in their control panel. They are a bit pricey though.

Yes, yes, search forums like these and you'll have some REAL bad complaints. I in fact was once a communitech customer and left in frustration. But it seems that 90% of their users can't say enough good things, so if you can't find anyone else, go with communitech.

Alternatively, look into unix. You could use PHP and mySQL, or even search for a host with Chilli!ASP installed. Almost every host has PHP and mySQL installed. I suggest searching at http://www.hostsearch.com if you are interested in finding a unix host. Also for a NT host.

Hope this helps :)
