Where do places like FontFile.com get their fonts from? They didn't create them all did they? If they're free fonts why aren't they listing a source?

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

Those fonts suck, if they haven't got them for free they're being dumb.

You can hire people to create crappy fonts for you just to increase the number of the fonts you offer on your site. That wouldn't cost too much.

I think you can also buy fonts from others by getting resale rights so you can offer them on your site.

You can create one everytime you have spare time also.

I do agree for the most part. There are decent ones out there, but few and far between. But hey, people still download them and give sites advertising revenue, so that's all that matters.
