Jedito 10-05-2001, 07:12 PM To be honest... I don't like them too much
These look good @ http://sipernet.com/
He is still finishing it, but I think it will look really good at the end. Loads fast too.
Jedito 10-06-2001, 02:09 PM http://www.sipernet.com/webcenter3/ looks vert very nice
SiperNet 10-08-2001, 03:04 PM I am almost finished, just putting the final touches on it as we speak. I have a few more weeks sitting in the desert so I should have it at 110% by the time I get back to civilization. :D
Thanks for the compliments so far! :)
dektong 10-08-2001, 03:16 PM SiperNet,
are you going to give the themes for free or are you going to charge for it (and how much). I am very interested too ...
BTW, nice themes!

Would it be compatible with NocSoft? I have heard it is coming out on Nov.

There will be a price on them, how much I don`t know yet. I am just concentrating on finishing them up and getting the site ready, then I will focus on a price. Like I said I will have everything done within the next few weeks. I will let you know when I have a price set. It is really hard to come up with a price since there really isn`t much to go off of. :)
I have added some more features that are not on the demo that I have up now. I will get them up by this weekend if I get back home.
Malev 10-09-2001, 10:56 AM You might also be interested in a CPanel skin I'm working on at the moment.
Its nearly finished - just getting the last few areas integrated - and will be released by the end of this week at the latest. :)
Theres a (non-functional) demo of it, in its nearly finished state, at http://techpanel.fifthreality.com/demo/ . There is space left for individual branding in the top bar.
Probably going to be a lease license ($50 per machine I reckon), so if anyone is interested in it, please drop me a mail ( tom@fifthreality.com ) - as I'd like to gauge the demand! :D
SiperNet 10-10-2001, 11:35 PM Here is a live demo of what I have so far. It is still in development but so if you find anything that doesn`t work let me know. In fact I am just looking at it and there is still a bit of work to do. :D

You plan on charging half of what cpanel costs to most users?
dektong 10-11-2001, 12:30 AM teck, I think it's a one time fee :) I offer . ... $20 :D
cheers,
Malev 10-11-2001, 05:39 AM You plan on charging half of what cpanel costs to most users? It is a one-time fee, not a monthly, and it does include branding with your own logo. ;)
To be honest, in terms of time spent developing, its worth a lot more - CPanel isn't exactly the most user friendly to skin. Creating the images is not too much of a problem, but you then have to edit 200+ files (and trust me, its not much fun!). :D
SiperNet 10-12-2001, 09:44 PM http://www.CPanelSkins.net is online but not 100%. Tell me what you think of it so far. I have been working hard all day to get the WebCenter 3 finnished and it is almost ready, actually it should be ready for release tomorrow.
I may give the first couple of people that want the WebCenter 3 a discount and will definatly give resellers a discount on the license. Let me know what you all think! :D
x5media 10-13-2001, 01:28 AM Anything special you need to know to make cpanel skins?

Well you don`t need a degree in physics but you do need a lot of time. Then after you think you have it all done and you put it on the server to test, you see all the stuff that doesn`t work then it is back to work again. The biggest thing is having the time and patience to actually finnish the job. :D
dektong 10-13-2001, 02:51 AM 150 is too expensive for, well at least me ... Even with a discount it would still be expensive, unless it if is 75% discount :D
cheers,
SiperNet 10-13-2001, 03:04 AM Ya, I am thinking about bringing it down to an even $100. It is too much until you think about doing one yourself, when you are done you won`t think $100 is enough. :)

Yea, but do u need a copy of cpanel running and an admin acct to test it?
Malev 10-13-2001, 06:51 AM when you are done you won`t think $100 is enough Heh - agreed. In terms of actual time spent working on it, a high quality CPanel skin is worth about $1400!
do u need a copy of cpanel running and an admin acct to test it You need to have CPanel running on your servers, and you need to have a directory in "/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend" you can write to. Its impossible to properly test the skin otherwise.
By the way, in reference to my earlier message, my own skin is now complete ( http://techpanel.fifthreality.com/ ) :D

They will work with all flavors of cpanel. :D
I will have the site updated along with releasing WebCenter2 by the 26th. I am currently not available to upload the changes and additions. :(
Nordic 10-20-2001, 02:52 AM Thanks Brad,
I just wanted to make sure that not any special DarkOrb feature had been included in there, that wouldn't make it work with the VDI version.
Nordic
SiperNet 10-20-2001, 11:28 AM You`re welcome, I was actually contacted by VDI and they suggested that I make it known that it is compatible with WebPanel. :D
