View Full Version : Problem with GoDaddy? Or me?

Last week I logged into my GoDaddy account to change some DNS information.
To my surprise and astonishment, the very domain I needed to configure was missing
I used their web based support system (which I always find disturbingly confusing) and asked what happened to my domain.
They replied a couple hours (quick response :agree: ) later; apologized for any inconvenience, and the domain was now back in my control.
I asked them for an explanation as to what happened. . . No response. I considered this must be an isolated incident and dismissed it as such.
Yesterday, I log into my GoDaddy account to make sure everything's as it should be.
Now, to my bewilderment, everything is gone  :eek2:
No domains. No nothin! I log out. Back in again. Change browsers. It doesn't matter. Nothing there.
I, again, open a support question. And, again, within two hours the situation is resolved.
Again goes the question to them . . . . "What happened?"
This time I, at least, get a reply. . . . I really cannot explain what may have happened, a possibility could have been server related or browser related. In any event the problem was solved and that you are able to access your account
So my question to all you gurus is . . . . . Is it possible that it is indeed a server or browser related incident that could cause this?

Not that I'm a guru, but it certainly doesn't sound like a browser related problem. Especially if it happened before with only one domain. Sounds to me like they're screwing up (maybe a scripting problem?) and trying to pass it off as anyone's fault but theirs. <-- Merely speculation. :)

I just logged into my godaddy account and all my domains are there.

Maybe they like your domains and are trying to steal them - hoping you just won't notice. :D

I have a godaddy account (and three domains with them) and I've never had any problems... yet.

Aloha
actually something similiar happened to me at go daddy
turns out that the login name (not password) is also case sensitive
so my login name had caps in it when I signed up the one that IE had remembered did not so when the auto login tried my domains were missing ????
so went back logged out and made sure to put it in case sensitive
I then went into my account and changed my login info for all accounts to reflect new name
all is OK now

I have had other glitches with godaddy though
