Hi all,

I just finish my first site and am looking for a hosting company to host my site and am wondering whether some of you could help me out.

I need about 20M with PHP and database (MY SQL and/or Access). I am looking to pay between US $10 - $15 a month. I don't really want those free hosts as I've heard that they are not very good.

I have done some researched too, but there are just too many of them and am not sure which one really is as good as they sound.

So, does anyone have any suggestions?

Any help is appreciated.

If your site is only about 20 MB and doesn't get more than 1 GB of traffic - you can find something MUCH cheaper than $10 a month. I'd say half that, at least.

but I heard that the support could get really crappy though.

Anyway, do you know any hosts that are good?

Support isn't always crappy just because you're paying less than $10. Whoever told you that meant that support is usually bad when you're paying less than you should be. EG: $20 per year for unlimited space and transfer.

20MB of space and 1GB of transfer doesn't cost a lot for the host, even including support costs, and so shouldn't cost a lot for you.

Sorry, I can't suggest anyone though.

Support can get really crappy if you're only paying $5 a month for 100 MB of space and 10 GB of traffic. For the small amount that you're asking for, you shouldn't need to pay more than $5 a month...and probably a little less, actually.

Look at it like this: If you went to an all-you-can-eat buffet and only paid $3, what kind of food would you expect? Not so good.

However, if you went to McDonald's and ordered a $3 hamburger - it would probably be pretty good! :)

PS: As a vegetarian, I can't believe I just made that analogy. haha.
