Can anyone explain to me why the webmin Bind8 module won't allow me to create wildcard records?

Also - is there a more correct way to create wildcard records for a domain name - as A records or as CNAME records? In the past, using the register.com DNS control panel thingy - I have always created my wildcards as A records.

I mean - I just skipped over RFC 1034 and it seems like a completely legit practice to me (using wildcards) so why won't webmin allow me to?

Hehe - its a setting in the module config menu which is set to not allow wildcards by default. ahha!

Alternatively, you could just use the edit records (or whatever its called) option to pull up the text file and make changes manually.
