I am trying to record some sounds in the sound recorder on Windows. I pluged my microphone in and now it will not record any ideas?I have a Compaq computer and the sound is built in to the motherboard.
Any help please?

Have you checked to make sure the microphone's recording wasn't muted? Double click the speaker icon in the system tray, go to Options > Properties...
Fill in the recording bubble and make sure microphone & wave are checked off. Now make sure you turn up the volume on the microphone & wave recordings and unmute them if they're muted. I can't remember if checking the boxes at this stage mutes or unmutes however so you'll have to try that. That's about all I can think of.

I got my mic working now!But it wont record!Please help me this is VERY URGENTLY NEEDED!:(
