I just purchased and Intel STl2 and set it up with a single p3 1Ghz chipset. I get an Error on the Base Board Management Controller("Self Test Failed") and then on the SMBios -Srom data read error, BMC FRU device failure....

Any Ideas???

you should check the motherboard cell.

Did you purchased the motherboard and/or CPU used?

I baught them both brand new as a combo. What is the cell? and how do I check it?

I have the same problem ith my new board etc. I looked up a cell and it is the CMOS battery. I would buy a new one due to the age of the board. I plan on trying this and will post my results.

If anyone else has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.
