After spending a lot of time I've finally narrowed down my search to the hosts mentioned above. Please vote (or suggest) your recommendation and help me make my final decision.

Thanks a lot.

looks like everyone is remodelling their house and getting ready for the new year :D

If we consider plans @ << $50 to $70 per year

I will like to add www.affordablehost.com to the list -
my conclusions :
no cpanel makes them a lot of hassle free
email responses are extremely fast
no unreasonable claims like 20 GB data transfer at $9/month & then adding "billig stats " are different
has been in business for a long time indeed with min downtime

they dont have a forum like aletia though :(

Please also add to my list -

Aletiahosting - great package ( best I think) - great forums -cpanel4

Discount-hosting - very cool at $10 :) per year but no perl, no support

Both terabyte and valuablehost topped list in these forums before they jumped into the remodelling business - I guess those are very good indeed and have best prices-goodies ratio

Others I have no idea

Deduct from my list -

According to this forum,Hostiva I find has started developing problem and worldzone is a no-no with bagful of problems if their forum is to be beleived.

100% or 3 9s [9.999% uptime guaranteed hosts ] are there - but sigh - not within my budget.

ummm.... sorry but I dont find in the tera-byte site that they are not accepting orders - any one ?

and did Keeg from tera-byte reply to that Ensim or less ram problems ?

I am forgetting who suggested me affordablehost - it was just a few threads back - I want to thank him. Knowing Tina and the team has been wonderful - extremely helpful.

To my list maybe I should add www.nuke.to and www.dezines.com - live chat queiries and support everyday.

Try either...

Aletia Hosting (http://www.aletiahosting.com)
JaguarPC (http://www.jaguarpc.com)
or Prevo.net (http://www.prevo.net)

I'd probably have to put my hand up for Affordable Host. While never having used them, I have spoken to Tina from time to time via e-mail and she's always responded very quickly. Their reputation from what I've seen written about them is very good too.

I am currently with Splashost and have no complaints at all.

They are a young company and seem eager to please.

Prices/features are excellent.

Have said that, everything has gone smoothly and I have yet to really put their customers service to the test.
