Not sure what the exact temp is, can't see the thermometer.

However the range between now ad tomorrow morning [in London] GMT will be >>

-3 and -1 degrees celsius with highs of 7 degrees in the sunny spells.

They don't like to use wind chill factors/temperatures on the weather reports as much now, it has been phased out in the past few months and only get a very minor mention. Some respected meteorologists are quite opposed to them, hmm.

man, i just have to say, i giggle everytime i hear the news. Living in Alaska, low temps are a given, its -18*F here at our house as i type, yet life goes on, pipes arnt freezing, dogs are still alive, cars still start in the morning....Yet, all over the news is how Boston hit a whopping -3*F and people are running out of stove oil etc...

I grew up with -30*F temp's all my life, -100*F windchill temps too!

Well anyway, for all you on the east coast that thinks hell froze over, all us in Alaska are pondering thoughts of hell freezing over and now you get a taste of what a full winter in Alaska is like, good luck and its not the end of the world ;)

I have a brother-in-law who lives in Alaska and everytime he comes to visit us on the east coast and it is 50 degrees he strips down to his shorts and begins to sweat...

The same goes for me down here in Florida. I'm use to the cold from living up in Michigan. When it dips below 65 degrees here, everyone hauls out their winter clothes - parkas and all.

I'm still in my shorts - even when I go out at night (when its around 50-ish). They look at me nuts (wearing short sleeves and shorts)... But I can't help put look at them like they're nuts... all dressed up like its -20 below.... Scarves, coats. They're crazy!

Query: Why does Al Gore always give his "global warming" speech in January??? Last time, he delivered it during a near-blizzard.
